Wranglers Add Talent for Second Half Date: Dec 30, 2009 The Wranglers come back from break having made some key roster moves that should create a very competitive team for the second half of the season. The Wranglers traded Defensemen TJ Nunn and Forward Paul Blase to the River City Jaguars in exchange for brothers Pat Jun Martin (Fwd) and Pat Ging Martin (D). Pat Jun, 6' 180lb., joins the Wranglers having netted 5 points so far and 43 penalty minutes in his second season in the NORPAC. His younger brother Pat Ging, 6' 175lb. has 7 points and 10 penalty minutes thus far as a rookie defenseman. The Martin brothers will bring a lot of speed and physical ability to the Wranglers roster. Also, the Wranglers picked up two key forwards in Noah Segal and Casey Skolnik. Segal came to the Wranglers on a futures trade with the Missoula Maulers. The 5'9" 155lb. forward hails from Los Gatos, CA. Casey Skolnik is a long awaited addition to the Wranglers. A local high school hockey star, Casey was awarded league Player of the Year honors two consecutive seasons with Ashland High School. The 6'4" 210lb. power forward played the first half of the season with the Minnesota Wildcats of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. The Wranglers head to Eugene to face the Generals on New Year's Eve for the first look at their new roster. |
